Marty Sturmer Bio:
I live in Colfax Ca., and I am working hard to turn my 3 acres of overgrown forest into my private park. I retired 5 years ago from being a gardener for the City of San Francisco. I received a B.A. from Sacramento State University in business administration where I discovered my interest in economics. For several years I’ve been enjoying listening to economic podcasts such as Econ Talk with Russ Roberts, the London School of Economics, the Institute of Economic Affairs, and I have attended several economic lectures. I have been the California State Director for FAIRtax for several years and have been on the national FAIRtax monthly calls. My favorite books regarding taxation are Daylight Robbery by Dominic Frisbee, and Progress vs Parasites by Douglas Carswell.
The address for London Bridge Pub is 256 Figueroa St in Monterey, CA, on Wharf #2. We will likely be in the back room. Attendees are encouraged to arrive as early as possible in order to get food/beverage orders in and seating arranged so that the speaker can begin promptly.
