LPMC 2025 In Review:
We had our 2025 annual meeting & elections in January 2025, with guest speaker Dr. David Henderson. In February, Marty Sturmer joined us to speak about the FAIR Tax. In July, LPMC members joined the Libertarians For Peace to march in the Monterey 4th of July Parade. Also in July, four members of LPMC attended the LPCA state convention in Santa Nella, CA, where Lawrence Samuels of Monterey County was elected to the Executive Committee as an At-Large Member. Through the year, LPMC has been hosting either a “Freedom Coffee” or a “Liberty & Libations” happy hour almost every month for libertarians and liberty minded folks to come together and meet other like-minded liberty advocates. LPMC members have been tabling & doing outreach at the downtown Monterey farmer’s market. We continue to oppose the Monterey & Salinas rental registry and rent control ordinances. Our letters to the editor are published in the local newspapers. Our 2026 Annual Meeting, elections, & pizza dinner, with guest speaker Dr. David Henderson, is coming up again on January 9, 2026.
