  • Dr. Michael C. Hogan, physicist, spoke about energy policy, electric vehicles, and climate change. 
  • Discussion about Lawrence Samuels’ campaign for school board at the Carmel Unified School District, who got about 11 percent of the vote.
  • People may submit their letters to the editor to “Letters Of Liberty“, a new website that Lawrence Samuels edits: www.lettersofliberty.com
  • Discussion about defeat of Measure Q, a proposed property tax increase for government childcare facilities.  Despite the support of the local Chamber of Commerce and socialist and conservative groups, 58% of the public voted NO. Opponents spent $1,000 and supporters of tax spent $600,000.
  • Mentioned the LPMC and the Libertarians for Peace participation in the July 4th parade in downtown Monterey. David Henderson is in charge. Thousands line the downtown streets.
  • There were suggestions to have more Movie Nights and Food events.
